Insta360 One R – FREE Underwater LUTs

The best way to shoot Above and Underwater with the Insta360 One R is with LOG mode. Learn more in this tutorial. To make your color grading life easier, I provide my TECHNICAL conversation LUT for Insta360 One R 4K, 1-inch, and 360 Mod. My Technical LUT is very aggressive to bring back the full sensor color range – so might clip some of your colors if you EV is not set to -0.5 or -1. So use it with care. I am working on a more scientific LUT conversion when Insta360 give me their color profile (as they don’t tell me what sensor they use so no reference point there). To be safe, I also provide the official LUTs in this download. If you don’t like my conversation – use the official one. The GOODIES in this download is my Kygo Inspired creative LUT – HughTropicalLut.cube // a tropical house music color LUT used on lots of popular Tropical house music video. This LUT is FREE of contrast curve – which mean SAFE TO USE on all curve. So if you convert your LOG to sRGB or REC709 – this LUT will make anything, literally anything (including GoPro MAX or Hero8), look tropical. Dail the strength back to 80% or to taste is recommended.
